Peninsula Yacht Club Membership Information

 

      Welcome to the Peninsula Yacht Club. We are proud to be a private social club organized under Section 501(c)(7) of the Internal Revenue Code. Our club is built on community, camaraderie, and the continued involvement of active members.

 

Membership Requirements

 

      According to the current bylaws of the Peninsula Yacht Club, membership is by referral from current members in good standing. To apply for membership, the following requirements must be met:

 

  • Applicants must be sponsored by two current members of the Peninsula Yacht Club.

 

  • One of the sponsoring members may obtain a membership application on behalf of the applicant.

 

  • Applicants must provide three personal references.

 

  • Applicants must provide a recent 2-inch by 2-inch photograph of themselves with the application.

 

  • Completed applications must be submitted to the Treasurer/Secretary, who will then forward the application to the Board of Directors for review.

 

Following board review, the applicant’s name will be presented to the membership body for consideration.

Probationary Membership Period

 

      All newly accepted members are subject to a one-year probationary period. During this time, members are encouraged to participate in club activities, events, and the overall Peninsula Yacht Club community.

      The Peninsula Yacht Club values respect, fellowship, and active participation from its members. We encourage all prospective applicants to become familiar with the club culture and community through their sponsoring members.
